What is Our Mission?

The Noble County Community Foundation provides opportunities for residents and others to make charitable gifts and bequests to improve the quality of life and to benefit activities occurring within the county and region. The Noble County Community Foundation will become the recognized leader in gathering and sharing resources that benefit the community.

Why is the Foundation needed?

The Noble County Community Foundation was founded in January 2005 as a public charitable foundation to provide opportunity for residents and others to make charitable gifts and bequests to improve the quality of life and benefit activities occurring in the county and the region. We are building a permanent endowment that will be used to support a variety of charitable programs to address the current and changing needs of local residents.

The NCCF was pleased to have Bob Parks, President of Farmers and Merchants bank on hand at our summer meeting held on July 30th to present a $1,000 donation to the NCCF. This donation will be divided between the NCCF’s Scholarship and General funds.

2014 Noble County Community Foundation Scholarships Awarded

The Noble County Community Foundation received ten applications were for the fifth annual award of the Noble County Community Foundation Scholarship. Award winners were announced as part of the Noble County Chamber of Commerce annual banquet held at Noble County Community Center on March 20, 2014. Seven hundred fifty dollar scholarships were awarded to each student.
The Shenandoah High School award winner was Katherine Hill. Hill is a 2012 graduate of Shenandoah and is currently enrolled in at Youngstown State University and hopes to continue her academic career by attending medical school. Katherine is the daughter of Duane and Jane Hill
Stephon Poulton is the Caldwell High School award recipient. Stephon is a 2011 graduate of Caldwell and attends the University of Findlay where he is a junior majoring in pharmacy. Stephon is the son of David and Teresa Poulton.
The NCCF Scholarship is funded via an endowment fund. $7,000 in scholarships have been awarded to ten students since the first awards were made in 2010.
